astra 1.6 auto x reg - cooling fan on constantly - daveKn

I h ave an astra 1.6 auto x reg (2000) the radiator fan will run constantly even with key out.

Is there a radiator fan switch on this model or is the fan controlled by a temp sensor via the cpu.If it's a sensor then which one and where is it located ??

There is no dedicated cooling fan switch on these,system senses temp from engine control system sensor .If this were faulty,the gauge would read incorrectly.If this car has 2 cooling fans,then it could be a fault with the cooling fan control unit that is located under the left headlight.

Thanks for the info,there is another fan which i believe is for the air con on the front of the radiator (is that correct?)

Is the temp sensor the one at the back of the engine by the alternator screwed in near the inlet manifold??
