looking for best small car for fuel economy. i have a ford fiesta 1,0 only avrage 40 to 43 mpg

i was thinking changing to kia 1.1 diesel

any ideas

According to HJ's Real MPG, the Kia Rio 1.1CRDi is averaging 60mpg - BUT do you do enough annual miles to justify diesel and avoid DPF issues?

i average 15000 per year . i allways had diesel untill april 2014 when i bought the fiesta 1.0 but im only aveage 41 mpg

Hyundai have a new turbocharged 3 cylinder 1.0 litre engine coming out - the 98 and 114 bhp versions going into the new i20 late March. Presume the same engine will find its way into the Rio fairly soon.
