hi i bought a zafira about a month ago.

Today it wont start. the engine is not trying to tick over. when u turn the key there is nothing apart from the time display going out. The dashboard lights which remain on are the oil, battery, handbrake and engine light and the petrol light flashes even though my wife put £10 in on friday and done about 6 miles since. My initial thought was the battery but the head lights seem bright and the electric windows go up and down with no loss of speed. If i try and turn the radio on it is asking for the radio code.

Another problem i have is that there is a whirling noise everytime i turn whether it be left or right. when the steering wheel returns to stationary position the noise stops - dont know if this is a major problem or not but it drives my wife crazy.
