Austin Seven 1936 - MOT testing - Corner

All cars over three years old need an MOT certificate when they are sold.

All cars made before 1960 dont need an MOT certificate to be road legal.

However do all cars made before 1960 need an MOT certificate when they are sold?

Do I need to get an MOPT certificate for my 1936 Austin Sevn when I sell it?

A vehicl can be sold without an MOT even if having an MOT is a legal requirement for driving said vehicle on the road.

It simply means that generally you will take a price hit for selling without a current MOT

As said by others, at present a 1936 Austin 7 is exempt from testing. But one can still get a voluntary MOT and my guess is you might find it a little bit easier to sell with a recent test pass.
