Hi all. Got a question 1.6 ghia on 95k on a 51 plate. Back in Feb I had the speed sensor replaced as the speedo was very erratic.

All was fine until today. Did a 30 mile trip and come to slow down at a junction on a bend and it cut out. All lights on dash as if it had stalled. It started first thing and off I went.

I got to my destination fine. When I came back out it started fine and off I went. It felt judderey and I noticed speedo wasn't working. About half a mile or so it was fine and was fine all the way back home.

I did notice the revs dropped to about 1k when stationary and slowly dropped to 800 or so. I had the fans on but on fan 2. The air con was not on.

Any ideas?

Sounds as though its either the sensor or wiring to it, if its sending no signal it upsets the engine ECU hence the rough running.
