Vauxhall Astra - 2004 - Other insurer wont admit liability - Bizzi Munkey

Stationery in traffic when driver hit me in the rear. No idependant witnesses. My car has been repaired. 7 months later other driver has not admitted liability. He claims I "rolled" back into him. My floorplan was creased and the repairer estimated impact at 15 mph. Some rollback at speed I would have needed to do that amount of damage to my car. I have legal protection and a solicitor involved. I want to speed things up. I cant believe its going so slow. Solicitor says "due process"needs to be followed and things can take this time. Other driver has not completed his own version of events (his own witness statement) and also he has not made a claim against me for the limited damage to his car. I know that small claims court is an option.

Assuming your legal protection is included in your insurance, then they are acting on behalf of the insurance company and not you, so will be slow.

If you had your own specific legal insurance, you would have been in the driving seat, so as to speak, and could have forced the issue

My legal cover is a standalone product and is not through my insurer. Its not helped to speed things up.
