Peugeot 206 SW 2.0 Hdi 2004 - Horn randomly sounding when parked up - Robbied196

I picked up my car from the garage after it had a new pulley/clutch fitted to the alternator (may or may not be significant), got home and parked on the drive. Later in the evening the horn sounded 5 or 6 times with random short and long bursts. I went out pressed the fob to unlock and it stopped. I left the car unlocked but a few hours later it did the same thing again so I disconnected the battery overnight. The car starts and drives normally and the horn hasn't sounded when I've been driving. Yesterday morning it was parked outside work for about 2 hours before it went off. I've now pulled the fuse until I can get it back to the garage. It has the usual Peugeot immobiliser but no alarm.

It seems like a short circuit but has anyone any ideas where to look? Also seems strange that its started doing this since it was in the garage.

I would take it back but I haven't got time this week so hoping it might be something simple I can fix at the weekend.

If it is the alarm sounding a cause could be anywhere but a remedy although not a solution is to close the air vents into the cabin .

I tried closing the vents but that didn't work. I tried washing the car as well and that didn't work either!

A Peugeot Planet diagnostic might show something up.

Otherwise its going to be a good long look in the engine bay for any disconnected or damaged cables.
