The full tank of fuel may not be that much of a problem. I don't know about your car but a lot of in-tank pumps come out from the top of the tank via an access hole under the rear seat.

About 1 hour labour,plus the cost of the pump,which I would imagine is probably over £100.What is the problem with your one?

Thanks for your reply. Initial problem was the car would lose power and stop. Garage numbeer 1 said it was the crankshaft sensor. Problem returned then they couldn't find a problem but flattened the battery! Had car moved to Vauxhall dealer for "proper" diagnosis. They said it was the battery - replaced - still the initial problem. Then they said it was the fuel pump. They have replaced that and now say it is the fuse box/ecu.
