Re: Buying Old Police Cars - honest john
West Oxfordshire Motor Auctions (see auction directory). Pay about £4,500 for a 150,000 mile 2 - 3 year old V70 T5.

Why? - David Lacey
Why the hell would anyone want to own an ex-police car?

It's beyond me......

I'm sure my brother would have something to say here...
Re: Buying Old Police Cars - Andrew
Don't!!!!!!!!! Unless they are ex " Staff " vehicles which are generally not white.
Re: Buying Old Police Cars - fecker
I wouldn't buy an ex cop car.
Firstly you probably have to get it in white - not good.
Secondly - good chance of it being crashed at some point.
Thirdly - they cannibalise the cars going to auction for parts - so you may find lots of the fiddly bits not working. (mate is ex-polis mechanic)
Third - they leave the engines running all the time so 150k mileage could be more like 200+.

Big exec type police cars are cheap as chips anyway. Buy privately or from an auction with a good colour, leather etc....
Re: Buying Old Police Cars - David Bell
anybody see the news about one police force which is going to buy its patrol vehicles in silver metallic as it reckons it will get a better disposal value.
