My car was written off. Other parties insurers admit full liability. I have 2 options: A) I allow my insurers to collect the vehicle and have it assessed for value and let them deal with 3rd party, get no courtesy car and have to lay out excess, even though I can reclaim costs.... or B) allow the 3rd parties insurers collect my car for assessment and allow them to deal with me directly and make me an offer, they also won't take my excess off me and will put me in an immediate hire car. They have called me to offer this. Sounds too good, any catch to this, which is best way to proceed. Am I likely to be offered less for the car dealing direct with their insurers ? Will my insurers make a better offer ? Urgent advice needed.
