I've been reading up on the DPF issues on the 2006-2008 Mazda6 2.0d 143bhp models.

Are the 2004-2006 non-DPF equiped models more relaible, i.e, the 136bhp models?

The Mazda6 fits my bill perfectly in terms of bootspace, comfort, handling etc, but i'm getting worried about all these engine failure reports.

Do the non-DPF models suffer from the oil level going up too?

Main reaosn I was looking at the 143 model is the adition of a 6 speed box which would make it alot better on long runs, especially my frequent trips to Europe.
