Hello, I need some advice.
The wife's car developed a problem with the tailgate opening a couple of times then the thing would not open at all. Anyway, I popped to see the local Citroen Dealer, they said it was the Micro Switch needed replacing, then the whole handle component, then it needed a new loom, oh and it had to go on the testing machine, could be the brain of the car EXPENSIVE!
I came home and did some research on the net to see if any other C4 owners had a similar problem only to discover that Citreon had issued a recall for this fault in April 2011. The site sent me to VOSA for the official release information and sure enough my wifes VIN number is within the range for Recall.
So I call the Citroen Service and they claim that the VIN is not listed and this car, despite having the same fault is not down for a recall. So I try to contact Head Office even written to Ms Jackson, Citreon’s top UK honcho and I have heard nothing. So I am stumped.
What can I legally do?
Could I get the work done then bill them legally?
