Vauxhall Movano - Movano cutting out - chubnut

2005 2.5 vauxhall movano cutting out it seems to be a common problem from what i read on hear ..I got some very useful information off hear so i thought it only fair to do this post.As many others have had my movano keeps cutting out ignition off and on and its ok again maybe for another 100 miles maybe for another 100 yards who knows.It seems alot have gone down the fuel problem route i was quite shore it was electrical I took it to my local auto electrician who said it was related to the fuel pressure sensor but maybe not the sensor its self he advised it might be a wiring loom problem i contacted my local vauxhall dealer (wjkings very helpful) who said there was a known problem with the wiring on the fuel pressure sensor so they do a kit to replace the wiring £80 plus the vat

Mine is on order so watch this space if it solves it i will post the part number that is if i can stop jumping up and down with joy for long enough

Hi there my van 2006 movano2.5 cdti 100bhp doing same cuttin out flick key back and let clutch out carry on ?seems to be worse if I boot it or if weather is warmer, had new fuel pressure sensor last year was gonna have injectors tested this week, just wondered if u have got the modified wiring kit and fitted it and if it has made any difference please let me know thanks

After reading many posts I reAd a thread on Renault master forum and many people having same fault (cutting out) few people on there have fitted new fuel pressure regulators and cured the problem, so I have just replace the one on mine this is located on the side of the diesel injector pump its a Bosch sensor and u need to take it off to get the part no stamped on top of it, vauxhall s******s wanted £148+vat and not in stock !! I got mine from diesel injectors uk in Ipswich sent out next day fella very helpful and cost £96 inc vat and next day post, will report back to let everyone know if it has cured the fault, as I know how annoying this fault is.

Right fitted new pressure regulator drove 80 miles booted it a bit a fault still there cut out 3 times any one got any ideas before I book it in a diesel specialist?

Think sorted cutting out problem took to a local diesel specialist and there is a pressure relief valve on the opposite end of the common rail to the high pressure fuel sensor fella said these often get weak and need replacing total cost inc labour and part £225 think it has cured fault drove it home didn't cut out fingers crossed will update if this hasn't worked good luck everyone

Used van today done 100 miles didn't cut out once fixed at last, go to a diesel specialist is my advice, I used F.I.E.S in Basildon Essex, it will work out cheaper in the long run than trying to fault find yourself.

yes it was onced replaced with new one been fine
