I used to have a Focus 1.8 TDCI and I understand the fuel pump is driven by a short drive chain from the crankshaft pulley, and then a rubber cambelt drives the cam from the fuel pump pulley.
I imagine if replacing the fuel pump you might as well change the cambelt and tensioner, water pump and perhaps the fuel pump drive chain at the same time.
I'd guess this is a fairly involved job, as you would need to ensure the timing is set correctly from the crankshaft via the fuel pump drive chain to the cambelt.
Suggest finding a good independent to do the work. New HP fuel pump will be very expensive so finding a good secondhand one would be necessary. Might also be an idea to get the fuel lines replaced (they cannot be re-used once removed) and injectors cleaned at the same time in case any metal fragments have found their way into the fuel system after the HP pump broke up.
Might be cheaper to just get a good secondhand engine fitted?
