SFAIK the only "sensor" used at traffic lights, to detect "Jumpers", is a camera and it looks like one - an 18 inch cubic yellow box with a lens and on a pole. There are no pads or sensors on the road surface

I don't know - all cameras, by definition, have a lens of some sort. I stopped and examined some newly installedt black boxes on a pole on a country road the other day, being the inquisitive type. They were about the size a power tool box and the labelling said the they were vehicle conunting sensors. Presumably replacing those rubber cables we used to laid across the roads in the past, which servewd that function. A picture would be helpful!

If its a ittle sensor on the top of the lights its simply a traffic sensor and you have got a get out of jail free card this time.

But please don't jump lights in the future, the consequences are a lot worse than a possible fine and points.
