Sc***heap Challenge - badbusdriver

This was one of my favourite ever programmes, especially with Robert Llewellyn and Lisa Rogers doing the presenting. The chemistry between the two hosts, the comedic nature of the programme and (of course) the creations were just a fantastic combination.

I had actually been thinking just the other day that I wish they would show them again. Well low and behold, while idly scrolling through the channel listings this morning, I discovered that an episode was being shown on "Challenge" channel!. This was at about 9.25, so my first thought was to look for Challenge+1, alas there doesn't seem to be one. So I then scrolled through the Challenge listings, as most of these type of shows are repeated two or three times at least during the course of a week at various times, but no such luck. Went all the way to next Sunday and found that there are three episodes shown consecutively starting at 7am.

Not sure what Series or episode we were watching as it didn't say in the listings (the teams had to build machines to paint a house from beyond the fence), but it must be at least Series 5, which is when Lisa Rogers replaced Cathy Rogers (no relation) alongside Robert.

So for anyone who, like me, misses the show (and didn't realise it was being shown again), now you know where and when to find it!.

("PROPER JOB"!)

Sc***heap Challenge - Chris M

Channel 139 on Virgin and the one you watched was S10 E4. They also showed E2 & 3 this morning. You'll find some episodes available on My4.

Sc***heap Challenge - daveyjp

That programme where no matter what they thought of building the exact components they needed were always on hand?!

In all the years I watched it I don't remember ever seeing an episode where the exact components were at hand?

Sc***heap Challenge - Dieseldriver1

I and two work colleagues were contestants on Sc***heap in 2001. The guest judge and team experts decided beforehand the two different methods to achieve each objective and the machine required to be built.

Some specific items were put on the sc***heap because to build each machine within the 10 hours allowed totally from scratch would be impossible.

also any engines or vehicles used always seemed tohave running engines and the ignition key to hand. This is because you would spend the entire build time setting upthe ignition and valve timings etc etc to make any engines run.

contestants were not always experts in engine technology and couldn’t achieve miracles.

personally i had an amazing time making Sc***heap as our series was filmed on the build set for Junkyard Wars in LA
