Bought the car from a main dealer in July 24. Had to have a small warranty repair which was fine but the dash was saying service A in 45 days, five months short of the end of the warranty period. Whilst dong my repair they did a ‘health check’ which is most of an a service anyway as far as I can see. I would obviously like to keep the warranty and am quite ok with paying for an oil and filter job…..£149…but object to paying £382 for the dealer to do again what they have just done. Am I obliged to use the dealer to maintain the warranty or can I use an indie of course using genuine parts, ie, oil filter.
