Suspension is made up of dozens of components, all of which are in constant use when the car is being driven and under stress when it isn't. Which parts failed?
Warranties are there to cover for replacement of poorly manufactured parts, not for replacement of parts which have worn out. Demonstrating a suspension component is faulty due to a manufacturing defect and not wear and tear after 7 years and 47,000 miles will be very difficult.
However I have had recent success with a claim after 7 years on a Toyota for rear wheel bearings, but they are mentioned in the warranty as being guaranteed for 100,000 miles.
They wouldn't entertain a claim for a handbrake cable with failing plastic covering as after 7 years of salted UK roads, rain, mud etc its no surprise the plastic is brittle.
