I charged my battery up the wrong way and when I tried to put it back on car it was sparking like mad , thought something was left on that took high voltage! Anyway it was the polarity had changed in the battery

When I put a new battery on it lights up the ignition but wont crank. It says on dash :see owners manual engine overheated engine failure.

Also noticed the blinking security light that usually goes off after switching ignition on is blinking very rapidly..

Any ideas please ?
