I’d be grateful of any advice.. I have a Nissan micra 2004
and it failed it’s mot due to the fuel pipe been corroded where
the fuel cap goes on. I’ve done some work on cars before but
not in a while now and I am wondering if the fuel pipe would be
an easy job to do my self. I’d be grateful of any advice.

Depends on your level of competence. It’s not a difficult job , but the rear of the car will need to be raised to gain access to the fuel tank and associated pipelines.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve replaced brake cables. Brake pads, timing chain.
It looks straight forward enough just removing old filler pipe and replacing with new.
It doesn’t look like anything else apart from back wheel needs removing. I was
wondering if I’d need to do anything regarding fuel pressure.
Do you mean pressure in the fuel tank? If you remove the filler cap, there won't be any pressure in there. I'd suggest you do the job with the tank nearly empty and beware of the dangers of petrol fumes.
