Peugeot 206 CC - Problem with new drive shaft (or not) - Moteje

Hi guys,
I had both complete driveshafts replaced over the weekend, however I am not happy with one of the CV boots, please see pictures I uploaded on imageshack:

I bought the part from GSF car parts, and it was fitted by my colleague mechanic.
I know mechanic is good as I used him for years, and I was always extremely happy with his work.

It's like it's not stretched enough, which I believe might cause damage in the future.

This drive shafts were installed as they came out of box, so they came out like this from factory.
I was thinking about taking that metal clip out to stretch it further, and then apply new clip. However, I'm hesitant as that might void the warranty. I just don't like to sit and wait until something happens.

What do you guys think ?

Are the wheels on the ground ?

No, this side is slightly up, as I jacked it up to take the wheel off. Should I check tomorrow with all wheels on the ground ?

If the wheels are hanging, this will distort the rubber gaiters.

I understand, I will go under the car tomorrow and post a picture of how it looks like when all wheels are on the ground.

Hi,

This is how the CV boot looks like when all wheels are on the ground. Looks much better, however I still believe that the rubber should be more stretched.

Looks perfectly fine to me.

Some driveshafts are ridiculously cheap on eBay and when I had a set fitted I looked at tge feedback from customers who had returned them after a few thousand miles.

Mine were no problem but £120 for a pair doesn’t ring true
