Citroen berlingo 1.6 hdi - Car starts and ticks over cuts out if revved - strickjumpers

Hello..

Car will start and tick over but curs out if given a rev..

Suspect fuel starvation.

Open to suggestions.

Not bought vehicle yet very cheap.would like a heads up before committing if anyone knows common fault like fuel pump etc.

Just thought someone might know if they were susceptible to fuel pump or other component failure...not sure your reply is in the spirit of this forum

Does this model have an in tank 'lift pump' to deliver fuel to the injection pump.

Do you know when the fuel filter was last changed?

It probably needs new injectors, a new high pressure pump and a new ecu.

Or, a new fuel filter.

Which do you wanna do first?

Could be dozens of things and you're only going to be throwing money and parts at the problem if you listen to the suggestions people post.

Only way to find out is to get a Diagbox diagnostic

Google "planet owners map" or see the map on frenchcarforums website to find someone local with the kit to help
