Got chatting to a bloke this week with a lovely Audi A8 hybrid car.

He told me how much he was paying on his PCP, £1020 a month for 48 months.

I don’t know how much he put down as a upfront payment, but I was taken back by the monthly payment.

Of course it’s his money, his choice, etc. But it seemed excessive for a posh pair of wheels.

Possibly beneficial for tax reasons?

It is potentially a £100k car, but that does seem a lot to be paying per month.

£14.000 ish customer conribution on this model

and £799 a month for 48 months, extrapolate from that...

On the basis of the figures in the Audi link, the car in the link would cost him £52000 approx for those 4 years.

If he can afford it and wants it, Well done to him.

Came as a bit of a shock , maybe that tells you more about me than him.

£1,000 a month was a lot before Rishi Sunak started printing it like confetti!

But the hybrid starts at £90k. Looks like a nice place to be.

Does up to 37 miles on the battery alone. Amazing!

Company will be paying for it no doubt, 99.9% of high end metal like this is. Even if I won the lottery I wouldn’t spend money like that on a car, I’d get greater pleasure from helping someone else than seeing insane depreciation like you’d suffer on this.
