About the size of a sportage/tucson/korando,

but don't fancy one with a 1.0 litre 3 cyl in a 1.5 tonne car...

Especially one with an untested engine from a manufacturer with a poor history for building small petrol turbos.

Styling is brilliant IMHO and at that price it’s looks like it will sell out quickly

Quite surprised there's no diesel variant. With a 110PS modern diesel it'd be a good tow car.

It appears there will be - look about 3/4s the way down the report, and you get your wish, plus a 1.3 turbo petrol if ORB is interested. :-)

It's the lovechild of a Defender and some kind of Tonka toy. Uncle Hummer and Aunty Landcruiser to be godparents!
It's a truly challenging design. But what about that name? It's as if the Dacia PR department was toying with Blister, Blaster, Digger, Dumpster and Badger then finally settled on a mash-up of "Big Monster", chosen by the 4 year old nephew/niece of the CEO...

If as the HJ article suggest its a big as a Skoda Karoq with only 110 PS I doubt it be much use as a tow car. The power and torque is pretty much identical to our Mk2 Focus 1.6 TDCi which was lighter and smaller than these SUV's and that would not have been a car I would have wanted to tow anything substantial with especially with 4 people and stuff on board. A 2.0 TDCi would have been a different matter which is what this needs to match it aspirations.
