This looks good news - somehow I missed the announcement a few days ago.

Interesting that the article says this plant will need to be the first of many. I wonder where they will go. part of Levelling-up maybe?

By the end of the decade it will have the capacity to provide batteries for ~300k cars.

This is ~15% of total UK car sales, which by 2030 will be 100% EV. One would hope that it is but one of many to be built over the next few years!
