VW T4 Caravelle - tyre's ,Load rating ? - zmart

Front Axle 1510kg's is it legal to put 101 = 825kgs load rated tyres on the front

and

rear Axle 1330kg's is it legal to put load rated tyres 97=730kg's or have they all to be the same ?.

The approved load ratings required will be on a sticker somewhere or in the manual.

Considering that a van is likely to be carrying heavy loads in the rear having lower rated tyres on that axle is just plain crazy.

If in doubt contact a VW dealer. Incorrectly specified tyres would likely affect your insurance in the event of an accident.

The minimum load rating you can legally use is what’s specified in the owners manual or on the tyre pressure information on the drivers door pillar or fuel filler cap.

it’s ok to have a higher load rating. Personally I wouldn’t mix different load ratings.
