How long is a piece of string question.
Basically, I need a car that is good on the motorway miles, won't be getting massive mileage, maybe 10,000 + a year, might even be less some years. Doing a defender up and need a motor to get me up to norfolk on a regular basis. Estate ideally, for space, though I do like a commanding drive height.
Been looking at Volvo V70/XC70, Ford focus estate, pegeuot 207 estate, mercedes and bmw, audi too. Cann't make a decision.
Ideally I don't want another project, so something which is reliable and good on the motorway runs. I know any car could be good or bad and depends heavily on its service history and any future maintenance. Just want to know if there are any good contenders off the top of your heads. I like volvo as you get a lot of bang for you buck, but mostly older cars, 06/07 I'm finding, so a 13 year old diesel engine isn't ideal and diesel, which is fine, but I guess petrol is preferable.
Anyway, thanks in advance.
Best, James
