Dealers should be made responsible for theses faults, as they know about them when they are selling the cars.

UK consumer law is to easy on the dealers and manufacturers. They should be JOINTLY liable.

Seen several cases of batteries failing on Nissans and the dealer refusing to replace under warranty.

In one case my friend gave up and had one fitted at an auto electrician which cost £120 but saved her all the hassle of dealing with Nissan.

But really surprised with the Volvo XC been one of the cars not to buy because of problems.

Once again the Japanese are light years ahead with Toyota and Lexus likely to pull away from the other Jap makes because of their lead with hybrids which are inherently more reliable than normal.

They blow the myth that German cars are reliable once more with BMW being the best of them apart from rear suspension on the 5 series estate and Audi fare really badly.
