Peugeot 3008 - Softer tyre and wheel configuration? - CHRIS.K

I have a Peugeot 3008 2013 hybrid with 17 inch

225/50R17

low profile tyres and wheels and the ride is very very very hard, I have stopped taking corners at 90 mile an hour about 40 years ago, so I'm looking for a softer tyre and wheel combination. I would prefer the smallest wheels to tyre ratio to get a softer setup but I'm not quite sure how small I can go, they did fit 16-inch wheels on this car so what would be the best wheel size and tyre size to get the softest ride and also can anyone recommend a softer brand of tyre

I'm with you on that run and have runs Citroen hydropnumatics for many years. I presently have a C5 with steel springs and 225/55/17s, my wife has one as well, they both have a brilliant ride but mine is better and quieter, the only difference being the tyres.

I have trawled the internet looking for good riding, quiet tyres, I am not to bothered about limpet like road holding as I don't drive that fast, the best ones I have come up with are these.

They have the lowest noise level I can find and that usually goes with a good ride, I shall be getting some when mine expire.

The ' 'Runway Enduro have a 68db noise level so I will try a couple of those.

Sorry about the extra post, couldn't modify the other one.
