You need deep pockets and a back up vehicle...

And at that mileage it will need new belts.. done properly £1000+

And a full service history...

Bad points?, about the least reliable car you could buy.

Good points?, image (if you like them), feel good factor (in between trips to the garage)

WHy dont you check out the reviews on this site and also the numerous LRO sites. Lots of info available.

I think they are great car but I wouldn't buy one unless on a good long term manufacturers warranty.

Considering the cost fixing a simple issue your son has had with a 67 plate Audi you should realise that buying a 12 plate Range Rover is going to be a world full of grief.

Expensive to by cars will always be expensive to run and brands with a known record for poor reliability (Land Rover/Range Rover always prop up the surveys) will be doubly so.

Good point - the exit sign from the dealer selling it.

Bad point - the order form.

Don’t buy this, it’s one of the worst cars you could buy regarding reliability and running costs. Don’t touch unless funds are almost limitless and there’s a very good genuine LR specialist nearby. Main dealers are cripplingly expensive and small backstreet garages haven’t the first clue what they’re doing with them.

Ok. How about the poor mans Range Rover Evogue 2.2 Auto before the 2.0 that has service every 10k if you’re unlucky.

Sorry to be negative, Autumnboy, but there aren't many of us on here who would recommend any sort of used Land or Range Rover, given that too many of them are unreliable even when new.

Yes, one hears of some people who have had good ones, usually because they've been able to afford to buy new, and then looked after them. But the fact that Land Rovers come at or near the bottom of all the reliability surveys can't be a coincidence.

If it's an itch you simply have to scratch, then go for it....but as Avant says, you'll not get many positive recommendations here for any LR product.

The UNreliability is legendary...and is why I buy Japanese.
