MINI John Cooper Works - R56 air conditioning stopped working - jacobfrey121

So I have a 2010 Cooper S, and today the AC stopped blowing cold air. It seemed to work fine last night, but today just blew hot air. The AC light turns on, but just warm air comes from the vents. Not sure if it just needs to be recharged, or what. I don't even know where to start looking. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Low gas charge would certainly stop the system working , but there are many other possible things that could also prevent correct functioning . Take it to an Aircon specialist and let them check the system. You can’t do it yourself.

This is a 10 year old car, and would be long overdue an A/C service and recharge if it's never been done. Air conditioning systems are certainly not maintenance free, and as the Doc says there's very little or nothing you can do yourself. There are a lot of very good mobile A/C specialists out there who are well equipped and qualified to get your system working again.
