Same as i answered the other thread about dash cams, we used several Transcends in the family, mine packed up some nearly 2 years ago, looking around the prices were getting a bit silly, replaced with a Yi, impressed so it now has a similar rear facing Yi brother, work well, easy to use, good clear footage, nice size for ageing eyes (tried a small one years ago, designed for children), plays a pleasant little tune switching on and off to let you know its fired up otherwise fit and forget, oh and unlike the Transcend neither have forgotten the time/date despite up to a couple of weeks standing unpowered, less than half the price of the Transcends to boot, there's no doubt there's much better out there but these ain't bad at all and decent value imo.
The mounts that come with them are fine, simple stick on jobbies with double sided pads, the one in the rear window gets bashed by the dogs now and again, moves it out of line when George's daft head clouts it when he sees another dog 3 miles away he wishes to annoy, it but hasn't actually come off the window or out of its mount, plenty of cable supplied if the connection isn't suitable.
The original make you have are fitted to our lorries at work, not reliable enough, too often when fitted not working at all or the footage isn't good enough to be of any use when needed, due to be replaced.
