Ignition cuts out, usually on a slope, starts again after a few attempts.

It's A Diesel. So no ignition, coil, pump, etc of a petrol engine.

No dash lights

No fault codes.

Just cuts dead.

Otherwise drives OK. Might go OK for a week or more then cuts two or three time.

Just a thought but its possible the crank position sensor is faulty and or the cam sensor, not certain of this car but the symptoms sound like CPS failure?
