Audi A3 - Battery trickle charge - mak

As the car is not being used that often, once or twice a week for short journeys, I trickle charge the battery at 1.5amps. I do not disconnect the battery but I have noticed that the car's clock is not showing the correct time so it must have stopped during the charge.Do you think I have done any damage? I may open the car doors during charge.

A low current charger is unlikely to have done any damage . Just be aware that on later model A3 opening the door initialises a lot of the electronics of the car , which may overload the charger . Any good make charger should be surge protected .
