Dacia Duster new 1.0 engine - daveyK_UK

Anyone tried the Duster with the 1.0 petrol engine?

i assume this is the Renault 1.0 unit with more grunt and not the Dacia unit that is found in the Sandero/Logan MCV?

I take it this engine was only introduced to lower the Dacia groups Co2 average as the 1.6 petrol it has replaced produced considerably more Co2?

One litre turbo I presume. Thats a common enough replacement for at least a N/a 1.6

All use the same Renault motor in various states of tune. The previous 900cc and 1.2 TCe motors do not have a great reputation for longevity either so I’d leave it until proven unless you intend on offloading before the warranty is up.

All I can say is that the 0.9TCe in the 30,000 mile Captur on our fleet has been faultless in every respect and it is driven by a 'hard driver'. I know of many other faultless 0.9 TCe Capturs as well.

Not overly fast or economical but nort bad for the size of car.
