I hired a car from CiCar. I was worried, as they did not answer their phones, plus did n't need to put a credit card details to reserve it, but they are a professional company. A smartly dressed man brought the car back to the hotel.
During the hire, I managed to have a minor damage, to the wing mirror, on a very narrow road and a car which was badly parked, but it was all covered under full insurance. I had to get the car changed over, as I think dust got on the brakes, but they changed the car in minutes. A sign of a good company, is how they deal when things go wrong. For me it was a good experience.
To return the car, I called their office and wondered when their guy will be over to collect the car, they said leave the keys with the hotel reception. No checking! I took photos as precaution. Easy!
The car I got was 48k, but it was in good condition.
I would hire from them again.
I did not hire from the airport, as I was worried about poor roads, but the roads are generally fine, if you have Sat Nav, then you should be find be okay.
It is long drive from Los Gos Gigantes to the capital. If I had money, I would have booked a couple of night there, to save driving....
