NISSAN Micra 2003 - 1240cc petrol - Indicator and headlight not working - mattya

Hi,

Went to use my car yesterday and I realised that the rear left indicator is not working. I picked this up from the rapid clicking of the indicator switch when I flick left and getting out of the car and doing a visual check.

Normally I'd just change the indicator bulb, but, I also noticed that when i switch the headlights onto the normal low setting, the right side headlight is not coming on (interestingly when i switch the head lights to full beam, both are on).

Like I said before normally I'd just change the bulbs, but for two bulbs not to work at once suggests that it could be a electrical problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,

Matt

Incorrect bulbs fitted ,or more likely bad connection to the rear lamp clusters . Not unusual on these. Check the multi pin connectors. Possibly find overheated and/or burnt pins. Headlight could be just a dud bulb.

Hey,

Exactly as you suggested elekie&a/c doctor. The rear bulb was a bad connection, `fixed` by taking the light unit off and jiggling the wires around a bit. The front headlight needed a new bulb.

Cheers for the advice!
