Saw my first US stylee pickup truck with an MB badge yesterday. Spose its a market sector they couldn't ignore.

Actually slightly lacking in the full cowboy crassness which might limit sales stateside, but here in Taiwan the badge is a bringer of big bling and it'll probably do quite well.

In the UK perhaps fuel prices impose some market restraint?

When MB did rugged engineering it might also have been a practical choice for people who actually needed a truck. These days, not so sure,,

As a foreigner I'm not allowed to have a truck, else I'd be straight down to the dealer, obviously.

Re-badged. Nissan Navara .

i read somewhere recently MB are considering dropping the re-badged Navara pick up from their range, whether that is just UK i do not know.

For business customers wanting a pick up, all depends on the dealership back up finance and maintenance packages on offer, maybe MB trucks can offer better full packages than Nissan, they do after all have a full sized commercial vehicle sector where labour rates being charged to customers won't be anything like the monopoly money car workshop rates, so might be better choice cost wise overall than from the Nissan dealer.

Could be, I suppose, but I think probably not.

I'd never heard of or seen one before yesterday, but I note Wickipedia refers to it as a "Luxury" pickup truck, so I think its more pitched at the lifestyle blingmobile market rather than the workhoirse drivers.

Commercials here mostly seem to be Hino, with some Volvo, DAF, and Mitsubish/CMCi in the smaller sizes.

Havn't noticed many MB but maybe I just havn't been looking.
