Audi A4 B7 - Turbo problems - Conor O Callaghan
Recently bought an Audi A4 1.9 TDI I’m having trouble with power coming on and off ever so slightly when I accelerate from 3rd to 5th I changed the boost control valve with no difference. I have been lead down the road of a new turbo but there is no play in the turbo I believe the vanes in the turbo are getting stuck has anyone a quick fix to this problem??

This engine suffers from the vanes sticking. Its fitted in numerous cars in the VW range and the Mitsubishi Outlander. You can try turbo cleaning additives or sprays that you spray into the air intake just before the turbo. From experience though they rarely work and a turbo is often required.
