A recent post about those baby on board signs reminded me of some of the other stickers i’ve seen on cars, my favourite was on a black Toyota Supra overtaking everything in sight:

No wife great life!

Anyone else got a favourite?

One I liked (written upside down) "If you can read this I am in trouble!"

Bumper stickers - elekie&a/c doctor
If you can read this, thank a teacher !

Beware - left foot braking!

:-))

Bumper stickers - Bilboman

I remember in the 70s the bumper sticker "Honk if you had it last night!" caused a mixture of merriment and outrage amongst other drivers. (No idea what it means though...)

Bumper stickers - John Boy

One I read about, but didn't see, was on a female driver's Vauxhall Corsa:

GO ON SMALL DICK

PASS ME

Bumper stickers - focussed

Beware - left foot braking!

:-))

And the antidote sticker to that one is:-

"Help! I don't understand left-foot braking

Bumper stickers - dan86

Beware - left foot braking!

:-))

Could add next to it I took Honest John's advice whilst they're driving a Honda jazz with Michelin cross climate tyres and using shell v power

If you can read this I've lost my caravan!

Seen on the rear window of a crusty old landrover "you can go fast, I can go anywhere "

A political one -"If you don't want logging try using plastic toilet paper".

Bumper stickers - stan10

" crusty old landrover "you can go fast, I can go anywhere "

I wanted that one on mine, (and still do) but apparently "real" L/R owners don't go for stickers, so the other one i chose,

" Land Rover - rescuing Jeeps since 1947" is a no - no too !

Oh well ..

LR Defender: This has a larger turning circle than the Titanic and lets in more water.

I saw a pair on the back of a lorry in the philippines.

On one side: Overtaking side (with an arrow)

On the other: Undertaking side

I enjoyed those, thanks all!

Not exactly a bumper sticker, but I once saw I pimped-up late model Ford Escort passing me near my office (around 2000) where the owner had also changed the model name (same Ford lettering) from 'ESCORT' to 'SORTED'.

That brought a few chuckles.

Along the same lines, saw a Range Rover badge changed to 'hang over'. Also 'a r s e' added to the back of a Smart car.

In the same vein, many moons ago when I was at secondary school (30+ years ago), a short, bald-headed teacher nobody liked had the word 'Bodmobile' written in the dust/dirt on the back of his car (I don't remember what it was, though unlikrly to be any good).

The name was very apt, for those who can recall who the kiddie's cartoon character 'Bod' was.

Best one i remember from my motorcycling days, (Triumph T1600 was

Fifty's thrifty, but the ton's more fun.

(yes it was!)

and come to think of it, the last time i did a ton was a while back...

Seen in Oz on Land Rovers, presumably in response to the ubiquitous ‘...take a toyota if you want to drive home again’:

‘Land Rover, because terrorists drive Toyota’ and

‘At least the country that built my car didn’t bomb Darwin!’

Seeing the post about changed lettering on the back of cars reminded me of one of our old unmarked ones. It was a VW Bora TDI, and someone had moved the T so that the back of the car read
DI Borat.

My favourite one is "Adventure Before Dementia".....

I saw a few in America.

If pro is the opposite to con. What is the opposite to progress? Very clever.

Hello I am from the government and here to help you. Nah! not really, only joking.

It does bring a smile when you see an interesting one.

Cheers Concrete

Seen in Billericay High st. Van for a business selling window blinds. "Blind man driving". Makes me smile, sadly someone complained and I think he had to remove it. Some people eh?

Last year I followed a German registered Lamborghini Gallardo which had all the Lambo badges replaced with Smart items.

Who says the Germans have no sense of humour?

A bit non-pc and I’m sure others will have seen it, but on the back of a very dirty white van: hand washed by Stevie Wonder
Bumper stickers - RaineMan

Seen on the back bumper of a parked car "If you love animals you don't eat them". I wonder how the owner squared this with the leather upholstery?

Bumper stickers - ExA35Owner

On the under-run bumper on the back of an artic: "Test Your Airbags Here"

Bumper stickers - Smeagol

Many years ago in Hahndorf, South Australia, saw a very discrete sign on the side of the 'roo bars on a Holden pick-up. It said:

Volvo Proof

S African advert following a Mercedes going over a little cliff and the occupants escaping with little damage . "Mercedes, designed to be tough" Next night BMW countered. "BMW, designed to stay on the road'.

This doesn’t apply to our current Captur of course but some time ago.

Built in France , fell apart in Britain.

Surprisingly still available from ebay !

Who remembers the Not the Nine O'Clock News spoof Fiat Strada advert? "Designed by lasers; built by robots... driven by Italians!" I don't know if tht was ever made into a bumper sticker.
One I do remember from the 80s was something like "This car is paid for - and it's in front of you!"
