Bought a 245SE some 3 years ago in outstanding condition. Steering a bit stiff, which was found to be faulty steering pump. Only second hand ones available, but when fitted, there was a tapping clunk sort of noise from under the car. Decided to put the car through an early MoT to find the fault.Car passed its test with flying colours, but noise still there. Car reg. Oct 91. Mileage just over 100,000. Any suggestions please? This noise didn't exist prior to changing pump. I have been casting around for advice, but no-one has come up with any useful suggestions.
