2008 VW Polo (9n) - Steering Not Returning to Centre - PX-230A
I had the droplinks, wishbones, lower arm bushes and balljoints replaces yesterday. Now when I turn the steering wheel half a turn, it seems to tighten up (almost like a slight loss of PAS) and doesn't return to centre easily like it did. It's more noticeable when going slow (like in a car park) and not so much on the open road.
I'm having 4 new tyres and wheel alignment later today. Is it likely to be the alignment considering what work has just been done? The tracking feels fine...doesn't pull etc. although in a straight line the steering wheel is more off centre now than it was...but drives in a straight line fine with minimal correction.

I would have thought that after doing all those, a tracking check would have been routine. Don't like the sound of tight steering though. Go back and ask them to check it properly and centre the steering while they do it.
