Gearbox has failed on my four year old S Max Auto. I have only had the vehicle for a year(Bought from a Ford Garage) but Vehicle is out of warranty and Ford want over £4000 to fix it! They are unwilling to make any contribution to the repairs, but I dont think its right that a gearbox should fail after only four yers. Ive checked independent garage/ gearbox repairers and no one will touch it. Some advised that there were a lot of problems with ford gearboxes especially in powershift gearbox. Beginning to think this is a bigger problem than Ford want to admit and I was wondering if you'd heard of other cases like this or have any advice?
