trying to start sons van, changed fuel filter has not much fuel at injector when cracked nut, changed filer which ive done meny times ,when cracking injector pipes half a turn with engine on starter no 1,2 and 4 dribble fuel out wherhas no 3 squirts out. now the van packed up a few weeks ago running rough and black smoke, then would not start, no faults showing when plugged in. now im thinking no 3 is not letting fuel in or nos 1 2 4 pipes are not pressurising, any ideas

with common rail diesel engines ,fuel pressure is key. Cracking open an injector pipe is counter productive ,as you will lose pressure in the system, to all injectors. What pressure do you have? There needs to be a minimum of around 150 bar before the system will fire up.

no idea what pressur but no 3 when cracked squirts out good the other 3 do not, how do you check the pressure

You will need to plug into the diagnostic system to check real time fuel pressure and other parameters.

pluged in but showing no faults, dont no if it does fuel pressure

Unless you have a device that reads fuel pressure ,you are not going to get very far.

got it going with a tow, black smoke etc, running rough, all pipes now squiting diesel when undone half a turn but taking no 2 and 3 connectors off injectors no difference, so it seems the 2 injectors are malfunctioning, so got to clean them somehow,
