Ford Fiesta 07 Style - Door warning light - Peter3

Hello.

The door warning light on sisters 07 Fiesta Style will not go out.

Given that the car is in its eleventh year and is otherwise fine, is there a

regular failure item, perhaps the switch on the drivers door due to use

or perhaps the tailgate?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Make sure the bonnet is fully shut.could be a problem with one of the door latch contacts,but think you will find these inside the door .Not easily accessible.A good diagnostic tester should be able to identify the problem area.

Problem was near side front door switch, now replaced.

Hi Peter ,

Good to hear you've got your door light fixed. I think I have the same problem - warning message and interior light says door is not locked when it is.

Were you able to replace the door lock switch only or did you have to replace the complete door lock and switch? Ford tell me it's all one assembly!!
