Vauxhall co - Engine replacement - Rob2869

Help needed my daughter has a 1.2 Corsa on a 62 plate, it needs new engine but so expensive does anyone know of any other car that’s engine will fit hers that may be cheaper thanks

It doesn't need a 'new' engine - it needs either

a) the existing engine rebuilding or repairing

b) a replacement engine - one from either a written-off car, or a rebuilt one.

Either of those will be hugely cheaper than getting a NEW engine from a main dealer.

what has happened that requires an engine replacement? Please enlighten the readers and there may be more advice forthcoming. I would think you could pick up an engine from a scrapyard a lot cheaper.

If its needs a "new" engine a 1.2 Corsa one will be about the same price as any other.

A used Corsa engine to replace the broken one will be the same price as any other.

Fixing your engine will be same as fixing any engine form a super mini class car.

If you go to the trouble of fit a different engine there will be huge problems, huge expense, trouble insuring and the car will be unsaleable.
