Indeed - I was lucky to get my clucth fitted in time for me to do 1000+ miles on holiday - the work was postponed so I only had about 3 weeks from fitting to my long holiday drive, rather than about 6 weeks originally.
I'm being cautious now that my power steering (likely the pump) is slowly on the way out - I'm off on holiday (same as before) very soon and won't risk them putting back the work to near the holiday date and then a problem develops with the newly fitted system just before or whilst I'm away. Its still ok to use, so I'd rather wait until I get back and don't have any problems if there's a delay as with the clutch and/or the 'fix' doesn't work.
I didn't bother with going to Mazda UK - I didn't find them particularly helpful with a query I had some years ago, but in fairness some reviewrs have said they've had better experiences with them of late. I'd rather err on the side of caution and make sure any fix is done when its most conevnient to me, rather than (up front, anyway) pee off the local dealer by complaining, especially to head office. When it comes to paying, however....
Funny though how the 'just in time' system works find for Honda and Toyota/Lexus...
