I have a peuogot 306 2000 "X" plate automatic. Had it for a few years. Tried to change battery in Key fob (CR1620 battery). Being stupid, I assumed I could just change battery and start using. No it didnt !

Tried to start car after manually opening doors, but wouldnt start. Got spare keys that had no battery in it and started fine.

Have tried the re-programming technique of switch off ignition, put in Accessory or Ignition mode - press large button and start - no luck. Even tried taking battery out and try to start - no luck. Only starting with spare key - which has no battery in it.

Its the Mrs car - and being her - she wants to use the remote! Any ideas how I can get the remote key working otherwise my life will continue to be a pain.
