Ford Focus - Weak exhaust bracket - Craig92

Looking at a used ford focus. All looks good except in the last service paper work it talks about a weak exhaust bracket. When driving over bumppy forecourt I could hear what I thought was knocking coming from rear. If this was the exhaust bracket how much to fix this.

Any advice would be great.

Loved car but don't want to get stung by a large bill.

Dealer said nonmore than £100 to fix

Then why doesn't the dealer fix it? I suspect he knows it needs a new exhaust. I've always walked away from dealers who promise to fix something after you buy it.

Our indy welded our bracket/hanger for a tenner a couple of years ago. The exhaust, Focus 1.6 auto estate X reg 2000, 129,000m, is original.

I'd ask them to show you it , from underneath on the ramps.

It could be a very simple fix
