Looking for some help

I bought a 320tb few weeks ago with a 12 month mot
The car was working perfect but all of a sudden it has gone into limp mode!
The car looses power now and again ( can still hear the turbo kicking in)
It seems to take a long time to gain power and speed especially on a Hill
It has been plugged into a diagnostic machine but no faults were found any idea what this could be?

May I add that the car had no water in it and I didn’t realise till around 3 days ago it was bone dry

The 12 months MOT does not mean the car is mechanically sound, all it means is the car was safe when tested.

You need to find a BMW specialist with a code reader to find where the fault(s) are.

You may have actually killed it. Possibly time for a new engine.

What age and mileage and how much did it cost you? These are very complex and prone to problems as they age which makes them a very unadvisable purchase for someone on a tight budget. Any number of things could be wrong here from a leaking pipe to a failed head gasket or turbo. It needs to be properly diagnosed in the metal by a qualified mechanic, preferably a BMW specialist. As already said the MOT is no guarantee or statement as to the mechanical condition on the car, it’s only a safety check to make sure it’s road worthy. An engine could explode an hour after an Mot test.
